Peter Smith, Ed.D., whose distinguished career in higher education includes serving as founding president of both California State University Monterey Bay and the Community College of Vermont, has been appointed the Orkand Endowed Chair and Professor of Innovative Practices in Higher Education at University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
Kimo Kippen, a native of Hawai'i, former Chief Learning Officer at Hilton, recognized by CLO Magazine as Chief Learning Officer of the year - 2015, and former VP of Learning at Marriott International. Kimo has served as chairman of the board for the Association for Talent Development and is currently a board member of the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL).
Doug Lynch has spent his entire career focused on the intersection of innovation in learning in order to increase access and efficacy. He is currently faculty member at USC Rossier. Before USC, Doug was the vice dean at the graduate school of education at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kartik Hosanagar is the John C. Hower Professor of Technology and Digital Business and a Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Kartik has been recognized as one of the world’s top 40 business professors under 40. Kartik cofounded and developed the core IP for Yodle Inc, a venture-backed firm that was acquired by Web.com.
David F. Finney was the seventh president of Champlain College. Previously, David Finney was the Dean of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), at New York University from 1999 until June, 2005. One of the largest schools of continuing education in the country, NYU then enrolled some 45,000 students in more than 5,000 courses annually.
Dan Gruber is the Associate Dean of Innovation and New Ventures, Director of the Carl H. Lindner Honors-PLUS program, and a Professor-Educator in the department of management at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. Previously, Dan was a faculty member at both the Medill School of Journalism and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Shelton Waggener is the President of The CIO Perspective, a boutique strategy consulting firm offering cloud enterprise technology solutions. He was previously the Senior Vice President of Internet2 responsible for the NET+ portfolio of services. Prior to joining Internet2 Waggener served as Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at the University of California, Berkeley across the 10 campus UC system. Prior to joining Berkeley, Waggener spent more than fifteen years in senior positions in the private sector at leading technology firms.
